Fried “gnocchi”

- Note: The fried “gnocco” could be accompanied by every type of meats and cheeses, but it’s delicious even in its sweet version; with strawberry jam or chocolate cream.
Ingredients
- 300 g soft wheat
- 150 g oat
- 400 ml of water
- 20g of brewer’s yeast
- Salt to taste
- Extra virgin oil olive to taste
PREPARATION

Mill the soft wheat and the oat using Faribon600P or Faribon600 up to get fine-grained flour;

Crumble the yeast in water and mix until completely absorbed;

Pour in a bowl the oat flour, soft wheat flour, salt and yeast;

Add oil at a time while kneading, then pour some water;

Knead it up to get a compact and dry dough;

Work it with a rolling pin until the sheet is no more than 2 millimetres thick.

Cut the sheet in small rhombus;

Let the dough rest for an hour;

Fry them in boiling oil for about one minute;

Let the “gnocchi” drain in straw paper or absorbent paper.
